The Pecka adventure park is a unique collection of larger-than-life wooden animal models, rope trails and climbing frames. You can visit it for free at the upper station of the Portášky cable car in Velká Úpa, just 2.5 km from the Grand Hotel Hradec.
The Pecka adventure park represents life in the branches of trees, in the meadow and near a mountain stream, which is typical of the Krkonoše nature. The trail at Portášova bouda at an altitude of 1062 m above sea level has more than ten sites with wooden sculptures depicting characteristic animals, insects or birds of the Krkonoše.
The adventure park is composed of three parts: the water world, the world in the treetops, and the meadow part. One part is created in a meadow, the second in a forest, and the third on the border between the forest and the meadow. An interesting feature in the forest part is the walkway suspended above the ground between tree trunks. There you will also discover models of bird nests typical of the Krkonoše. Not only children will enjoy the view of the region from the viewpoint formed by deer antlers. Along the attic walkway, you will walk between giant wooden sculptures of a lynx, a viper, and a spindle tree. All of these elements are passable and children can climb them.
They can also crawl through fox or badger burrows, learn to recognize animal tracks, or explore a life-size anthill under construction. Children will also enjoy the 180-meter-long rope trail between the trees. For example, they will discover how the rare black stork nests in the Krkonoše.
Bring a wooden ball for your trip, it will help you overcome several water and mechanical obstacles. You will use the Pecky souvenir, a wooden ball, the most in the Water World. In the large salamander installation, which is made up of a system of wooden clouses (small tanks), children will test their motor skills and logic. You can buy it at the SkiResort Live scooter rental and from the cable car operator at the upper station in Portášky. But you can have a lot of fun without it, as the wooden ball is not a requirement for entry to the Game Landscape.

Scooters
You can go down from Pecca on scooters. You can find scooter rentals in Portášky, right next to the upper station of the chairlift, or down in Velká Úpa.
HOW TO GET TO THE GAME LANDSCAPE STRAIGHT FROM THE FURNACE UNDER THE SNOW?
If you are heading to the Pecka Game Landscape directly from Pec pod Sněžkou, you can choose from several routes:
- Take the cable car (Sněžka) to Růžová hora. Then go down to Portášky to the Pecka Game Landscape. The route from Růžová hora is asphalt. You can also do it with a stroller. From the Pecka Game Landscape, you can go down to Velká Úpa either on the asphalt road or along the forest path called the Mountain Carriers' Path.
- From Pec pod Sněžkou, take the "old road" to Velká Úpa. It is the Krakonoš's Confessional Walking Trail with several play elements for children. From Velká Úpa, you can take the Portášky chairlift to Portášky, or choose walking routes (see above).
- Directly from Pec, you can also climb Růžová hora on foot and then descend to the Game Landscape in Portášky. This route is not suitable for strollers.
- From Pec to Velká Úpa, it is also possible to go up the path that begins to climb slightly into the forest behind the Máj hotel. This route is asphalted and will take you to the Game Landscape. However, it is possible to turn off from it and go up to the Game Landscape by a shorter route along other tourist routes (for example, Šramle), which are no longer asphalted.
